If a system is installed and a homeowner account is created promptly, the control can be manually added immediately using the Add Control button on the dealer’s Customers page. This control will appear in the dealer’s Connected Customers list within 5 - 10 minutes.
For automatic import:
Infinity Touch, Evolution Connex and ION Black controls are imported the night after installation once the wall control goes online.
If a homeowner account has been created and a dealer has been selected, the control and account are automatically added to the Connected Customers list.
If a homeowner account has been created but no dealer has been selected, the control won’t be imported during nightly runs. Instead, it will be picked up on the first Friday after installation by a weekly import job and added as a “no dealer” control (visible only to factory users) until linked to a dealer.
For ecobee for Carrier/Bryant Thermostats:
PIN-linked InteliSense controls will show up in the dealer's Connected list or Queue within 6 hours, and often much less than 6 hours for InteliSense and non-InteliSense manual additions.
If a homeowner account exists with a selected dealer, the thermostat is added to the Connected Customers list.
If no homeowner account exists, the thermostat will go to the Queued Controls list.
Ecobee-branded thermostats must be added using the Add Control button, and so they are added in less than 15 minutes, with the disposition to Connected list or Queue depending on inclusion in a homeowner account.
Bryant Smart, Carrier Smart, and ION Smart thermostats must be added using the Add Control button, and so they also behave in a similar way.
