Malfunction Detection

Proactively detect mechanical failures using machine learning

Updated over 9 months ago

How to use Malfunction Detection Like a Pro

  1. Navigate to the "Malfunction Detection" tab in the Connected Portal.

  2. Click "Run Report" to initiate a scan for potential issues including:

    • Refrigerant leaks

    • Restricted liquid lines

    • Compressor malfunctions

    • And other system anomalies

  3. New results will appear in the Connected Portal within 10 minutes. You'll also receive an email notification once the report is ready.

Tip: When you have at least 20 connected compatible systems, this report is automatically generated for you every Monday before business hours.

Detection Confidence Levels

Leveraging machine algorithms, the Connected Portal is able to make an informed decision if your customer's system is experiencing an issue. As more systems are processed through our algorithms and we receive feedback from your experiences, we will continue to increase our detection confidence and reduce false positives.

Warning vs. Detected

When reviewing a report, you may see an issue classified as either "Warning" or "Detected." These classifications help indicate the severity and certainty of a potential problem.

  • Warning
A Warning indicates that the system has observed early signs or patterns that may lead to an issue. However, the current data has not yet crossed the defined thresholds to confirm it as a definite problem. This classification is intended to provide proactive visibility so you can monitor the situation closely.

  • Detected
A Detected status means that the system has identified an issue based on predefined thresholds for relevant parameters. This classification confirms that the issue meets the criteria for further investigation or action.
